WordPress is the most sought after blogging platform, and it comes as no surprise that many would want to build their membership site directly around their WordPress installation. Although WordPress by default offers membership features, there is still need for integration of payment systems and other features that make a membership site what it is supposed to be. Great thing about DigitalAccessPass is that it also works for non-WordPress sites. The list of features from DAP extends in the hundreds of different categories, and it would be hard to mention them all here, please click this link to explore the fully on the official DAP site.
It appears that they are running the site on Paid Memberships Pro. I’m not really familiar with this platform and I wonder why they chose to go that route over some of the more established solutions. It does appear as if the code is non-obfuscated, meaning a coder could go in and customize things quite a bit. That’s a good draw if you need something very custom.

The big thing that I can bring forward about MZeroA is the lesson of fulfilling a need and carving out a unique position in a hungry market. The field of learning to fly isn’t anything new, but what IS pretty new is the idea of approaching it from a modern standpoint and doing it ONLINE. There is a VERY clear goal in mind with his customers, and the usual alternatives to ground school are more expensive and… annoying.
Membership sites are not just for products, though. Many online communities and similar kinds of projects use membership features to isolate the kinds of people that are only in it for the thrill of it. Community forums might want to utilize membership features because that would keep a set of professionals within a tightly sealed circle that would require a monthly payment to be a part of, which in turn creates a kind of atmosphere where more high-quality discussions and content sharing is encouraged.

Google Sheets beat Microsoft to the punch and introduced a Checkbox as one of the Data Validation options. You can go to Insert > Checkbox to quickly create one, and you can customize it by going to Data > Data Validation. I've updated most of the Google Sheets versions of my checklists to use that feature. I hope Excel gets smart and introduces a similar feature some day.

Installing Oberlo on your store allows you to find products that you can start selling the same day but without having to buy inventory upfront. As Oberlo is the most popular product sourcing app in the Shopify App Store – and because, you know, we are Oberlo – we’ve decided to break down the process of setting up Oberlo as well. Here’s everything on your ecommerce checklist to do next if you’re an Oberlo user:
Scott runs a podcast as well as a blog, so content marketing is a big part of their promotional strategy. However, as I’ve seen with several sites so far, this free content isn’t found until you scroll down to the site’s footer. The main top navigation is all about offer and the paid side of the site. This is definitely an interesting idea. As a “blog guy”, my instinct has always been to have that content front-and-center right at the top. Clearly, it can work the other way, too.
Your business plan lays it all out. It details what you sell and where your profit comes from; how much inventory you’ll have on hand and where you’ll store it. It lays out your return policy — and you’ll need one of those. Most important, your business plan details your total start-up cost, from your ad campaign to Web designer to monthly server fees.
I always look for the blog. 🙂 On Guitar Tricks, it is pretty much buried down in the footer. What this shows me is that their entire site is pretty much designed to become part of the membership. Their blog goes under the “News” section of the membership. It is open to the public. I can see the point of this, though, because essentially the entire site is gated. Unless a person finds them on search, by the time a person finds the blog, they’re an email subscriber and have the free membership.
