Google Sheets beat Microsoft to the punch and introduced a Checkbox as one of the Data Validation options. You can go to Insert > Checkbox to quickly create one, and you can customize it by going to Data > Data Validation. I've updated most of the Google Sheets versions of my checklists to use that feature. I hope Excel gets smart and introduces a similar feature some day.
In response, some people choose terribly cumbersome names. They find out that “Tshirt.com” is taken and then learn that “HockeyTshirt.com” is also taken. So they create an unworkable domain name like VeryCool-HockeyTshirt.com. Networking will help build up your contact list, plus make you more recognizable in your market. There are 2 types of events, high value and low value. If you have had a few bad experiences networking, you might have inadvertently been attending the latter. There are a few things you can do to make sure you’re not wasting your time and only attending high value events:

The first thing to do (after you decide what you want to sell, of course) is choose a fabulous, memorable business name that no one else is using. You can conduct a corporate name search to make sure it’s not already in use. Once you’ve chosen the name, register it. (If you form an LLC or corporation, this will happen automatically in the state where you file your paperwork.)
Be aware that your URL affects your search engine ranking, so if you want to be found for “shoe,” it’s a good idea to fit “shoe” into your domain name. One way to do this is to use your brand name along with a keyword term. So MillerShoe tends to work better than FantasticShoe.com. (Which is why MillerShoe is taken, but FantasticShoe is still available.)
Good content can also have incredible short term effects using social media. Write an informative article relating to your niche and spread it around twitter, Facebook, Digg and so on. You never know who might pick it up. Your article could lead to thousands or millions of hits, news articles, radio interviews and so on - and this can happen overnight. The world is changing rapidly and good content with a sound methodology for disseminating it, is the most powerful marketing tool you have.
