Ever heard the saying, “If you fail to plan, then you’re planning to fail?” That saying definitely applies to running a membership site, which is why you’ll want to plan out your content creation and delivery calendar at least six to twelve months ahead of time. Fortunately, you can make the whole process a lot easier by using this content calendar checklist!
A Web analytics program tells you how shoppers are using your site. It reveals where users come from, what pages they visit and what keyword searches brought them to the site. An analytics package enables merchants to calculate their conversion rate. (Your “conversion rate” is the percentage of your visitors who make a purchase — a critical fact to know and track over time.)
The program runs $11.99/month, $28.75/quarter or $108/year. I’d be curious to see how many people take the quarterly option. I know in my own business, when I offered a quarterly it just didn’t work. Everybody went for the annual plan. Plus, an annual plan would increase lifetime customer value quite a bit. I don’t know the numbers internally, but I’d probably want to test getting rid of the quarterly option and see how it tests out.
Your funnel is now ready for the world (assuming of course you have a great offer, amazing copy, and a hot market). Setting up your Shopify store doesn’t take that much time to complete, but it’s important to finish all the steps so your website looks like a professional online store. Check that the SET ACTION on all your buttons are correct.Speaking of buttons, check all your buttons to make sure the set action is correct. If you just have a sales page and want the button to take people to the next page, you choose NEXT STEP. But, if you are taking information from people (email opt-ins or contact info), the action must be set to SUBMIT FORM. Then it will automatically send them to the next step in the funnel. There are also actions to show/hide elements, take people to certain spots on a page, and the option to write in a custom link.

When you sign up for Shopify, your store has a free theme called Debut already installed on it. If you’re just starting out and on a tight budget, you can keep and make modifications to your free theme to make it look great. Of course, if you have a different vision for your store, you can choose a different theme. There are several other free Shopify themes to choose from, or you can go with one of the 61 paid themes. I already created a thank you email once they purchase which is the next step right after they buy but when I go to my product fulfillment page and look at the top menu steps that I have to follow and it includes the fulfillment email and I don't know what to do because I'm not sure if I have to enter the link (drop down options) at the bottom of that page with my TY page or is this another email just to confirm purchase? Also, when I do enter my TY page (bottom) and click save and continue, it asks me to enter subject and body or it won't save it…. What does that mean since my page is already created?
Focusing on acquiring new members is a key part of creating and maintaining a successful membership site. But perhaps even more important is keeping existing members happy. For starters, it’s probably easier to keep a member than find a new one.
