Product Information Management – Take a weight off your shoulder and invest in a product information management (PIM) system to help you better manage localized content as you scale. Be sure you select one that can provide you a repository for not just product information but also content and media. You can do this on BigCommerce using the products section as well as the content media tab. I think they could play up their blog and get more sales out of it. The blog is hidden under the “About” menu or down in the footer. When you go to the site, everything is about the membership and any free content on the blog is quite understated. It just shows there are many ways to go with a blog. If it were me, however, I would make “Blog” a main menu item and not buried in a dropdown.

Having known Jason personally, I can attest to the fact that he is an action taker. When he gets an idea, he doesn’t sit around and think about it for very long. He serves his market and does it well. They’ve done a great job of building up a real community around what they do. It is obviously a great market. And so, they have a 7-figure membership site that you’d likely never guess if you were judging from the public-facing site alone.
Membership runs $29.95/month or $299/year. Interestingly, both plans have a 3-day trial. This trial is very short, however I think it is smart as it will help ward off some tire kickers. Long trials increase drop-off because people can forget all about it. A short trial of 3 days, coupled with a 3-day marketing sequence, would help increase the stick rate of the trial.
I already created a thank you email once they purchase which is the next step right after they buy but when I go to my product fulfillment page and look at the top menu steps that I have to follow and it includes the fulfillment email and I don't know what to do because I'm not sure if I have to enter the link (drop down options) at the bottom of that page with my TY page or is this another email just to confirm purchase? Also, when I do enter my TY page (bottom) and click save and continue, it asks me to enter subject and body or it won't save it…. What does that mean since my page is already created?
Checklist 14: Outsourcing Your Membership Site From Start To Finish : Believe it or not, but membership sites can be outsourced from start to finish. We’ve been there, done that and got the t-shirt. I always look for the blog. 🙂 On Guitar Tricks, it is pretty much buried down in the footer. What this shows me is that their entire site is pretty much designed to become part of the membership. Their blog goes under the “News” section of the membership. It is open to the public. I can see the point of this, though, because essentially the entire site is gated. Unless a person finds them on search, by the time a person finds the blog, they’re an email subscriber and have the free membership.

Of course, you will ‘sell’ this offer with professional sales copy, some great headlines, and maybe even some bullet points. But the general idea here is to introduce yourself to this new cold traffic visitor, let them know what you are about, let them know that you can help them, and convince them that the first step to solving their problem is to opt-in to your free offer. 
Consequently, it’s vital you do all you can to serve those members who’ve invested in your program. Adding a help desk system to your website can improve communication, while creating new and varied forms of content for your membership site is sure to increase the perceived value of your program. You can also implement tools like Churn Buster, which can reduce the risk of satisfied members involuntarily quitting your site—something you may not even be aware is happening.
